Good news for all families!

The CDC has recently announced that it will be distributing S$100 vouchers to all households in Singapore by 2022. The vouchers can be redeemed at participating merchants, and there are a wide variety of places where you can use them.

Participating merchants can include that noodles stall downstairs, or that western stall opposite!

This is a great help especially for those who need money urgently. Some even had to take on emergency fast cash loans to pay their monthly bills.

This article will discuss where and when you can redeem the CDC vouchers.

We will also provide a list of participating merchants so that you can start planning your shopping spree now.

What Is the CDC Vouchers Scheme?

The COVID-19 pandemic has had a devastating effect on the local economy. Some faced job losses while others had healthcare emergencies that needed a lot of money.

To help out hardest-hit residents and boost businesses, CDC launched its voucher scheme with e-vouchers that can be redeemed at participating merchants throughout Singapore.

With COVID-19 having had such an impact on local businesses and residents, it was decided that this would be a great opportunity to help out those in need.

It was announced on 18 October 2021 that the CDC vouchers would be received in the upcoming months and distributed as digital e-vouchers.

Who Is Eligible for the CDC Vouchers in Singapore?

How much CDC vouchers were given out?

In 2020, S$50 worth of vouchers were given to each identified household.

All Singaporean households received S$100 CDC vouchers per household in 2022.

The $100 CDC vouchers are now accessible to everyone. You should be eligible for the vouchers if you have at least one Singaporean in your family.

This exercise is projected to qualify 1.3 million households for CDC vouchers. The plan was primarily intended to assist low-income families, but it has now been expanded to include everyone.

This year’s CDC Voucher distribution exercise is part of a S$560 million package that includes GST U-Save rebates and education top-ups for Singaporean children.

How Do I Collect My CDC Vouchers?

The new set of CDC vouchers will be available from Wednesday, 11 May 2022, and they can last until 31 December 2022.

Several Things to Keep in Mind Regarding CDC Vouchers:

– Only one person from each home can be given CDC coupons valued at more than S$100.

Fixed denominations of $2, $5, and $10 are provided. So, if you’re buying anything for $9, use two $2 bills and one $5 bill. If you spend a single $10 note, you will not receive any change.

– You can share your coupons with other members of your family. Tap “Share My Vouchers” to obtain a link that you may send to other household members.

– Without a smartphone, physical vouchers are available at your local community centre. Yes, aunties and uncles do not worry. You can still redeem your CDC vouchers physically!

Here’s how you can make a payment:

– Show your seller the produced QR code.

– You’re good to go after they scan the code.

How to Join as a CDC Merchant?

Are you a food stall owner? Do you sell food or run a shop?

If you run a small business in your community, you may register as a merchant for the CDC Voucher Scheme here.

It should be noted that CDC vouchers cannot be used to purchase lottery tickets, gasoline or diesel, alcoholic beverages, or cigarettes.

The more CDC merchants that participate in the plan, the more valuable CDC vouchers will be – thus, if you know of any local companies that are not now participating in the scheme, encourage them to do so.
